Pastor Rick Lund

  

Pastor Rick began his ministry at St. Martin's on August 23.  He shared his goal of meeting personally with every church member and asked each member to invite one new neighbor or friend to worship in the upcoming year.  To emphasize his strong focus on reaching out to the community he stated, "The most important person in the church is not here yet." 

 Before joining St Martin's, Pastor Rick served as Pastor of Evangelism and Missions at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison.  Prior to his Bethel call, he served as senior pastor in Duluth, MN and Rice Lake, WI.

Pastor Rick graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, CA.  He is especially called to community outreach, social ministries and church mission trips.  He started "Mission Jamaica" in 1998 and has led several mission trips to New Orleans to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina.

In his spare time, Pastor Rick enjoys running, cycling, reading and socializing.  He is married to Katherine and they have two sons, Trygve and Peter, attending Auburn University.
