St. Martin’s Sunday School

Featuring art, movie-watching, story-telling/drama, and cooking, so the kids can learn Bible stories in a variety of interesting and fun ways, engaging all of their senses.

Sunday School instructional time takes place during the worship service each Sunday during the school year and includes children age 3 - 5th grade.

What is Confirmation?

Our Lutheran Church describes it this way: “Confirmation is a pastoral and educational ministry of the Church which helps the baptized child identify more deeply with the Christian community and participate more fully in its mission.”

For St. Martin’s, this means confirmation is a process of growth that takes place over several years of faith formation. It starts with Sunday School and culminates in the the middle school years. Worship attendance and service projects are part of being confirmed in faith.

Confirmation takes place Wednesday evenings during the school year at 6 pm and is open to all students in 6th - 8th grade.

Adult Bible Study

Learning doesn’t end after graduation! Each week after worship we gather to study scripture together. We focus on conversation and we aren’t afraid to ask deep questions of the text or of ourselves. Led by Pastor Maggie, we learn to faithfully and thoughtfully read scriptures in both the context they were written and in our present moment. Most importantly, we have fun and laugh together! No matter whether you are brand new to reading the Bible or if you are a devoted scholar of Hebrew and Greek, we welcome you in our discussion.

Bible Study takes place every Sunday after worship at 10:30 AM.
